The yellow line: stops, stories, and updates from Rehbein Transit

The buses have been inspected, summer school routes wrapping up, and our team is getting ready for another exciting school year! Before long, the familiar yellow buses will be rolling through our neighborhoods again, and we cannot wait to see students and families waiting for us at the bus stops.

Fall startup is always an exciting time at Rehbein Transit. There is something special about welcoming students back, seeing familiar faces, meeting new families, and helping everyone begin the school year on the right track. We may be the first school team member a student sees in the morning and the last one they see in the afternoon, and we take that responsibility seriously.

With that, we are incredibly proud to celebrate two longtime members of our transportation family. Jean was named the MAPT Special Education Driver of the Year after nearly 45 years of safely transporting and supporting students in Centennial Schools. Carol was honored with the MAPT Para of the Year Award, recognizing almost 10 years of compassion, patience, and dedicated service as a bus para. This is the first time in the history of these awards that both statewide honors have been presented to team members serving the same school district in the same year.

These awards recognize far more than years of service. They celebrate the relationships Jean and Carol have built, the trust they have earned from families, and the difference they continue to make in the lives of students. Their success also reflects the strong partnership between Centennial Schools and Rehbein Transit and the shared commitment we have to ensuring every student feels safe, supported, and valued.

Jean and Carol are outstanding examples of what makes student transportation so special. Rehbein Transit is fortunate to have an entire team of dedicated drivers and paras who come to work each day wanting to make a positive difference in the lives of our kiddos and in the community we proudly serve.

With that, we looking to add great people to our team to help make that difference in our students lives!

We are currently hiring school bus drivers, van drivers, and bus aides. These positions offer a meaningful way to serve local students while becoming part of a supportive and community focused team.

Are you already driving your children to school? Do it in our school bus and get paid to help safely transport them and other students in your neighborhood!

Do you attend all the away games to cheer for your child or grandchild? Consider driving the school bus for the team! You can support the athletes, attend the game, help your school community, and get paid while doing it! That is what we call a winning road trip!

Driving athletic trips can also be a great opportunity for retirees, parents, grandparents, school staff, and community members who want flexible work without committing to a traditional full time schedule.

We are looking for dependable, caring people who enjoy working with students and want to make a positive difference. Our team can help guide you through the training and licensing process.

School transportation is about much more than moving a bus from one location to another. It is about relationships, reliability, safety, and being someone students can count on each day.

We are excited for the year ahead, and we would love to have you along for the ride.
