If proper documentation is not provided, students will be unable to attend school after November 1st, 2023. What you need to do: 1. Contact your health care provider and review your child’s immunization status to make sure they are up to date. 1. If you missed a required vaccination, make an appointment with a healthcare provider or local clinic as soon as possible. 1. Follow up with your students’ school if they have reached out to you regarding your students’ immunization status. 1. Turn in medical (must be signed by a health care provider) and non-medical (must be notarized) exemption forms to your child’s school if they are exempt from immunizations.

Culture Fair thank you: Centennial Students for Change would like to thank all our students, families and community members that came out to support this year’s Culture Fair. We broke every record we set at last years event. With your help and support we raised $591 to go towards events such as Culture Fair 2024 and future projects our group is working on. We were able to tally over 470 guests that came through the front doors of CHS to attend the event (that is over 170 more than last year). Special thank you to our teachers that volunteered their time to be our Pie to the Face Fundraiser guests! Ms. Clark, Mr. Smith, Ms. Norberg, Mr. Breuning, Mr. Howells, and Mr. Kuehn. To Finalize this year’s Culture Fair, we are looking for feedback from those that attended the event. Our new officers and members will take this feedback to make next year’s Culture Fair even better! |

Band Trip to Ireland 2023-
Centennial Band: IRELAND 2023
The tradition of international travel has resumed at Centennial - The Centennial Wind Orchestra (band) spent Spring break on a concert tour of Ireland. The nine day tour of the Emerald Isle included travels of famous sights and sounds: Clonmacnoise, a monastic settlement founded by St. Ciaran in 545 AD; traditional Irish music and Irish dance instruction by the Tommy Hayes ensemble; local city tours in Galway and Cork; a sheepdog demonstration at Caherconnell Fort; the iconic Cliffs of Moher; the Burren National Park; a driving tour of the Ring of Kerry -- amazing views around the Lakes of Killarney; Blarney Castle -- where many 'kissed the Blarney Stone' to receive the gift of eloquence; the Rock of Cashel; and while in Dublin - Trinity College; St. Patrick's Cathedral; the Epic Irish Emigrations Museum; and more traditional Irish Music & Dancing by the Merry Ploughboys.
The band performed three concerts while on tour, each shared with a local youth orchestra: Galway Cathedral with the Coole Youth Orchestra; Cork City Hall with the Barrack Street Band; and the Helix Theater at Dublin City University with the Julianstown Youth Orchestra. Admission to the concerts is free of charge but sponsored by a local charity organization. Patrons are invited to donate to the local charity after each performance. We received thank you letters from two of the organizations thanking us again for our performance and noting the large donations received -- nearly 1,500 euros!
Thank YOU to the members of the Centennial Community who continue to support music and helped to make travel for these students a reality. Maybe you have shopped at a local store where they may be working, purchased an item at the Band Boosters Holiday Bazaar, or encouraged them to keep playing along the way. We are so fortunate to be able to make great music, and to create and experience beauty in the world!
Here is a youtube clip of our opening performance in Galway Cathedral: https://youtu.be/XGv0prLHO_8
World Culture Club
World Culture Club received a generous donation for a Himalayan cooking session. Our Nepali chef taught the students to make Mo Mo Dumplings. We also learned how to dance the Nepali way. In our Club we welcome guest speakers that have knowledge of other countries and cultures. Students present their cultures as well. If you have any interest in helping out with World Culture Club please contact '; // --> .
Robotics
Two weeks ago, the Centennial Robotics Team (Team 2472 -- the Centurions) competed in their first of two regional competitions -- the Northern Lights Regional in Duluth. We finished in the top half of teams, and we were an alternate for the elimination rounds. Mercury's (the robot) performance only improved throughout the competition, and we are looking forward to our next regional competition in La Crosse March 24-26!
