Meet the Coach

Centennial High School is proud to welcome Alex Lynch as the head coach of the Boys’ Soccer program. Coach Lynch brings a wide spectrum of coaching experience and a philosophy that aligns with the Centennial School District’s vision and mission.

Lynch most recently served as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant at Andover High School for four seasons. He is also the head coach for the Men’s UPSL team, 07-08 ECNL-RL Boys Team, 2010 ECNL-RL Girls team, and the 2012 Boys team at Boreal FC.

“I am excited to lead a strong program such as Centennial and build on the strong and storied past successes to continue developing the players and growing the overall program,” said Coach Lynch.

Program Overview

The Centennial High School Boys’ Soccer program is open to registered students  in grades 7–12.

The program typically fields four levels of competition:

• 9th Grade
• B-Squad
• Junior Varsity (JV)
• Varsity

Levels of play are determined by the number of registered student-athletes and their  skill level. All student-athletes are evaluated during the tryout process and placed on the team the coaching staff believes is the best fit.

Season Overview

The high school season begins in mid-August and runs through early October for  lower-level teams. The Varsity team may continue into late October or early November, depending on postseason success. Teams can expect approximately 5–6 contacts (practices or games) per week during the season. There are no training sessions or games on Sundays.
