Nathan Anderson named the Head Cross Country Coach

Centennial High School is excited to welcome Nathan Anderson as Cross-Country Head Coach.

“Coach Anderson brings a wide spectrum of coaching experience with him into this role, but more importantly, his coaching philosophy aligns with the Centennial School District vision and mission,” says Matt St. Martin, Centennial High School Director of Athletics and Activities. “Nate believes that the values learned from participating in education based athletics allow student-athletes to grow as individuals.”

Anderson, who resides in Ramsey, is also a science teacher at the Pines School in Lino Lakes. Most recently, Nate has served as an assistant coach for the Centennial High School Cross-Country teams. In addition, Coach Anderson has been the B-Squad Girls’ Basketball coach at Centennial High School since 2021.

At the collegiate level, Anderson was a two year captain of both the cross-country and track and field teams at the University of Minnesota - Duluth. He also earned NCC Second Team All-Conference honors in 2007 and 2008.

Anderson stated, "I am honored, excited, and humbled to accept the position of Boys and Girls Cross-Country Head Coach. I am thrilled to keep building on the rich program history that Coach Kruse and Coach Evans have built. I have seen the dedication, team spirit and drive for success our student-athletes hold within. I really look forward to helping our student-athletes reach their individual and team goals.”
